Hey,
New to this.
I have my scene, and dragged in the 3rdPersonController Prefab that comes with the package.
I ran the game and it works, but now i want to create a 3rd Person Camera.
I have tried 2 things:
1) made a prefab of the camera in the demo, and put that in my scene. Didnt work, as it placed the camera in the middle of nowhere, even after positioning it, it moves back to that position. And I cant use mouse to control it.
2) Used blank unity camera, and put script on it, added the CameraStates, same thing.
Anyone know how to get the camera working correctly?
Been at this about 2 hours and getting really annoyed XD

Wow 2 hours on that man, it's always a nice idea to watch a video tutorial or read the documentation
It takes literally less then 1 minute to create a character with camera & hud.

My character will not work.
I have set it to humanoid, but dragging it in to the FBX model slot, its says its not humanoid.
Know why?

Ok, managed to stop this error, used a different model.
but i don't see a create button like in the video.

It would appear that its due to the animation controller slot being empty.
If i put one in the slot create button shows. But I dont have one atm...

More progress XD
Used the demo controller and created. Works, but many errors are spamming console.
Errors are:

Also occurs in the demo scene

Make sure that your model is fully rigged and is set to Humanoid in the Rig tab. Drag and drop the model into the FBX slot (just the model, we don't want any prefab with scripts or colliders here!) Select your animator controller, the default is "CombatController" located in 3D Models > Mecanim.
