+1 vote to multiplayer UNET!!! Unet: you can make your own server without CCU or use a ready one like this one: Master Server Framework u3d.as/Abb it's free! Photon: You will have the limit of the CCU, you will depends of the photon servers and if they stop the services you will go too. Obs.: The Photon+ costs $95 with limit of time and CCU, with $95 you can pay a VPS for 3 years or more and have your own server without CCU limit! Valew!

And you wont get any dedicated servers for 95$ for 3 years The last time I saw the Photon have servers shared to everyone, whats the difference of a good VPS? Here you can choose VPS starting at $12/year vrtz.net/type/yearly/ , with $95 you can have a VPS for 7 years! or at the start of the project you can use a free one: - Google Compute Engine - cloud.google.com/appengine- Amazon AWS Free Tier - aws.amazon.com/free/- 5Jelly - 5jelly.info/vps/- 3Jelly - 3jelly.info/vps/- GratIsVPS - gratisvps.net/- YoCats - www.yocats.info/ And you have the freedom to control and use any type of server framework you want! For example: 1 - Master Server Framework u3d.as/Abb FREE!!! you can scale up when you need. 2 - NAT Traversal u3d.as/qhh you can reduce your use of expensive relay servers by up to 85-95%. 3 - Master Server Kit u3d.as/AkB with the zone servers that allow you to distribute the game server load across different machines (useful for load balancing or region-based matchmaking). and many others... I have the photon plus and photon bolt and recently the "Exit Games" disappointed the community again! The first time was when they sell the Photon Plus lifetime and then changed to 60 months to use. Now again with the Photon BOLT, recently they change the "no CCU" to "100 CCU" and the option to use the ZEUS ( Server ) disappears. How can you guarantee if they don't will change the plans again and if your game is already online, what you will do?

you should probably take AWS off of that list because there is no way in hell you are gonna run a dedicated AWS server with multiplayer for anywhere near the prices listed above. We use AWS at my company so I know this to be a fact I will not even tell you how much we spend a month on AWS for production deployments of our SAS platforms. I would say at best maybe you could get away with $100.00 a day. The problem is AWS is it is scalable and scales to your needs based on what demands are being pushed to the server, this can be great for some things, but if you end up with large scale volumes and the need for more instances be ready to go into the thousands per month. just my 2 cents on the subject, not trying to sound like a jerk as that is not my intention, just trying to make sure that you really look at what you may or may not be getting into. aws.amazon.com/gamelift/aws.amazon.com/gamelift/pricing/

If a Invector multiplayer came out, what networking solution would you guys want it to be? I plan on working on a integration soon.

I use Bolt in almost all my multiplayer projects, IMO the best solution available at the moment. I think there is even a free version now.

Not to discourage you but multiplayer is an entirely different demon and if you don't understand those concepts or you can't code it's going to take you a long time to even start working on it. Having said that, I have always been having a small idea in the back of my mind to introduce co-op into my game. So might work on some basic unet stuff to get started with. Will let you guys know when I do.

I started on UNET, Yeah FNR is pretty cool!!! :D I plan to try UNET first (as a TON of devs use it.), then I'll move to Forge (which I know pretty well lol). I don't have anything to show (or tell at the moment) as I LITERALLY just started working on it. But once I get closer to features and stuff. It will be in either the #addon section or in this thread as it's sort of integration/addon. It will start sort of like a dev-log (ish) until release Cheers!! NuclearRasberry
