Hello, first off congratulations to the developers, it is a great asset. Now, I was wondering if there is a way to change the player model on runtime, that is without having two different objects. I am asking because i am working on a multiplayer and the limitation on UNET is that it doesn't allow changing the network identity player prefab so I have to work within the same object. You can try to have two meshes of different characters in the same skeleton and alternate between a mesh renderer and another inruntime. We use this for clothes, sometimes fullbody outfits, and it works without problems.
