Here is the first up-to-date screenshot of our Wii U Game, Scions of Chaos: Prologue. This is an RPG adventure game using the Invector Third Person Controller.

Looks good but I'm curious regarding the console choice, the Wii U has been 'dead' since 2016~17

Looks good but I'm curious regarding the console choice, the Wii U has been 'dead' since 2016~17 Actually, over 13 million people have Wii U consoles and there are still a lot who love it. It's a bit of a niche market, but you get your game highlighted on the eStore and can potentially reach a huge audience. Plus, publishing on the Wii U is necessary to get your foot in the door on the Switch.

Plus, publishing on the Wii U is necessary to get your foot in the door on the Switch. This is not true. I published our game on Switch and never released one on WiiU.

This is not true. I published our game on Switch and never released one on WiiU. Maybe they changed it. In any case, we are still publishing on the Wii U since we invested the money in the dev kit and want to see this through.

Just wanted to check in and let everyone know that this game is still in development, but I've switched away from using Invector. I couldn't get the kind of performance I needed for the Wii U. I love Invector assets and I know they would work well with a more powerful system or on PC, but for the Wii U it was just not going to work in the end so I had to make the difficult decision to move on. If anyone is interested in following this game's progress, I've started a Discord channel and will be posting screenshots and videos soon. discord.gg/u83s2P

The controller has been used on a couple of shipped title and our team is working on a game that will be released on Switch too and we found no performance issue except from the huge startup thing that was really easy to optimize. It could be really interesting to know what kind of issue you faced.

It could be really interesting to know what kind of issue you faced. Overall I just could not maintain a high enough frame rate on the Wii U with everything else I had going on. Input was one of the issues where Invector uses a GenericInput that slows things down. But even when I replaced that with direct input to the Gamepad, I still couldn't get the kind of performance I am getting now with another controller.
