Our simple door prefab example doesn't come with animation, it's just trigger based
To create an door with animation you need the animations and you can use the GenericAction system to do it

There are a couple of things you didn't set up correctly
You need to call the OpenDoor animation for the player, using the Player's Animator. For the door you can simple call the method OpenDoor included in the vSimpleDoor script, not the animation component.
Now the trick part is to syinc the player's animation with the door timming, that's why in the video tutorial we did it separatly
