I worked on this small paintball demo as a way to show off my own asset "Soul Collection System" but thought it would be cool to share. I used the core systems invector provides and used my own methods for the paintball, splat and hit detection as the provided methods were not working as desired. One thing i did notice is that the system only allows for humanoid enemies, so for floating enemies like fairies or non humanoid like the creatures i have, it's not so great. But just some thoughts to the devs. The Soul Collection System allows you to collect souls from dead enemies or destroyed objects.

paintball splashes look really nice. Soul Collection System looks good. Try to make the particles feel more cool while getting collected
