It depends if you want to SetActive a GameObject on the scene or Instantiate one from your asset folder. For the first case, of course it's possible via events. You just need to drag your gameobject and choose "->GameObject ->SetActive" and check it to make it true. If you want to instantiate, then you will need your own script, and call the function by dragging the object with your script.
