So I'm forever unhappy with all the art assets that I buy as I'm always trying to find that next piece to suit the world, and then I see a new avenue for art style! I bought the low poly adventure pack and it comes with some great stuff but not being able to generate a terrain is annoying, so I discovered a few assets that allow me to convert the terrain to low poly meshes to match the other components, and better yet, it will also convert other objects to low poly types! so all my assets can start to actually match each other. But now there is a new problem Mesh MaterializerPolyworld Ancient East
both seem to do what I need, and what the other does. despite the convenient marketing slogans; "There will be imitators, but no other pack in the store offers what PolyWorld can do." which is the same as what flat mesh says too, (part of the materializer pack). They are both $50 and I can't really tell which one I want to go for, polyworld seems to have the chunk function that allows culling of unused areas, but technically I can do that in terrain composer 2. Has anyone here used one of these assets and can discuss functionality?

I didn't use specifically those assets, but ProBuilder also has a Triangulate option and you can modify the hard surface to create low poly effects, I used on the weapons that are coming with the Shooter:

Or just use the smooth groups options of your favourite model software. In blender its just a click on flat/smooth

I've tried decimating in blender but had some average results, I'll check out the triangulate option in probuild and see if that gets me something better, I just liked that these were directly tied into unity, as trying to import fbx into blender hasn't gone well for me yet But thank you for alternative suggestions.

Decimate is destroying your topology. With crazy numbers you get bad results. Retopologize by hand is always better. I use topogun for this coz blender sucks at it. The triangulate options (probuilder) do not change your vert amount. Its just smooting or not. Lets say your model has 10k tris with flat shading like the rocket launcher above. Triangulate it to smooth adds one extra tri between every existing tri to give you a roundish look. But its just shading, the typology is the same

Not sure if this'll get you the required accuracy though.
