I have a Terrain, build with Gaia. Now i get errors from the FootStep - Terrain Collider has been destroyed. of course the Terrain Collider is still there. I think the script can't read the Splat Textures for some reasons

I have actually had this happen as well when I was loading into a level with Map Magic. The way that I ended up fixing it was to have the characters vFootstepFromTrigger script disabled on load and then re-enabled when the scene awakes. A little bit of scripting that really shouldn't be needed but it worked as a workaround anyhow.
This happened to me when I was loading from the main menu with the es2 Invector bridge addon, but I do not think that it is related to the addon, because after we ended up having to rebuild our terrain due to an accidental deletion(whoops, lol!), it has not happened since then.
anyhow that work around should work for you if it is the same scenario for you.

I think it is :-( Can you share your workaround? I am at work right now, but when I get home tonight I can shoot you over what I did for the work around.

Sorry for the late response dreadlord I got caught up last night. Anyhow the workaround that I used was... I make sure that in my player prefab the vFootStepFromTexture script is disabled, and then in the StartingSceneManger.cs script for the addon I add, vCharacter.GetComponent<vFootStepFromTexture>().enabled = true; and vCharacter.GetComponent<vFootStepTrigger>().enabled = true; right after the gameController.Init(vCharacter); ---line 103 in the OnLevelFinishedLoading() method. probably only need one of those lines, but I cannot remember why I had them both in there. It worked though so I hope it will work for you as well.
