How do you get blood stains on the floor when enemies dead? That is from custom AI, but the concept is pretty simple mostly. It is just a decal that is instantiated on death and set to the position.

Can you make a tutorial for that? If I get some time tomorrow I will see if I can get a script up on here for you, but I have not tried it with invector AI as of yet, but it should be the same as I have it working so we will see. In the meantime though(just though of it) if you have the shooter, you could take a look into how Invector is handeling decals as well.

You can simple activate a hidden gameObject inside the AI using the event OnDead

@invector never even thought of that, lol it seems to always be the easiest things that I tend to think too hard about, and then miss the easy solution.

Just wanted to make a quick post if anyone is interested, to let you all know that we have not given up on this project at all. We decided to take a short break and work on another game that is lighter in mood and not soooo serious all of the time. We will be continuing work on Grigori very soon. If I can get the okay to post a vid of our new "fun" super top secret project on here I will very shortly, lol. I will though say it does not use Invector controller but I have modified Invectors camera script for this game as well as we are using hamzah Easy Main Menu for it as well!

Testing out some Rage mechanics, new spear fighting and added a little "juice" particle effects. The particles in the pots will fill your mana bar and the particles from the enemies will fill your rage meter, it all works right now, just didnt have it plugged in with this video, as you can see the Rage Devil does not damage the demon at the end, only because I did not have the melee hitboxes setup yet, Lol! Anyhow, this is just some testing of the basic mechanics and now onto some polishing for these new features!

Hot damn jrackley loving the aesthetics! Let me know where the menu can be improved more. I let the menu go for a while till I cook up a decent dialog system.

Thanks uberwiggett and tharindu ! All credit for the design of the menu goes to Valerie, she just sat right down and knocked it out! I tell you this has been one hell of a journey so far. With learning everything from scratch and then as we go along realizing the mistakes we made, and having to go back and remake things and sometimes even redesign the whole idea of the game. I personally would not trade it for anything though, not even the many sleepless nights and arguments, going to work and thinking of what to do with the game while at work, lol! We are roughly 1yr past what we "thought" we would be able to release the game, however we want to make sure that it is enjoyable and well made, so I think it is worth it, another thing learned, do not underestimate timeframes, especially with trying to push Unity to it's limits, lol That being said we have made great progress and are hoping we will get it to release this summer!

jrackley I strongly recommend this video documentary to every game designer here, I've watch a least 5 times my self. These guys are basically the Best around, everything they do they do with everything they got, with real passion to achieve the best result as possible. What you've said is true, the game needs to be enjoyable I've played The Last Guardian this weekend and although the game is gorgeous to look at, the gameplay was very frustrating and combine with the constant fps drops it killed all the experience for me. It doesn't matter if you have the level beautifully done, characters, enemies, ultimately the game needs to be fun to play. So focus on that, forget about nice particle effects, shaders, materials or textures and focus on the fun of it because once you have it, then it's just a matter of 'make it look good visually'.

Aww that disappoint me Invector I love this game The Last Guardian it makes tears in my eyes, not many games do that for me. Maybe you like Shadow of Colossus remake soon? Anyway thanks for link to video, Naughty Dog really know how to design good game.
