After a lot of trial and error and lots of research i've started on my game which i decided to call viking inc. there is still a lot that needs to get done and flying solo i'll have a lot on my plate, but because i have the template(thats my way of saying invector tps)i have a head start. the game is about a private contractor/hitman etc who gets into a comma after he is shot whilst on a job. when we wakes up he finds himself in a world of espionage, terrorism, drugs and a whole load of other things and the story keeps unfolding from there. have a look at the "not so official" trailer and also my bog https://www.reddit.com/r/gamedev/comments/asnrgz/viking_inc_the_journey/
will keep updating as i go along and at any stage feel free to comment. Cheers!!!

Hey Lovely people of the internet!!!
Sorry for the long absence but i had some personal matters that needed my attention. hope you been okay. So im back to the game and made some progress:
so i've added an armory to the game. if you follow one of my many questions you'll know i asked about this coz i wanted the player to be able to pick weapons to use on missions, unlockables etc. As it stands this armory has around 19 guns but i wanna add a few more(for this part of the game that is(:rofl) .
yeah and i'm sticking to the whole mixing of the comic 2d and 3d elements. i got the idea after i saw the cover of the first borderlands game and i just had to adopt some elements. of course mine dosent look anything like the borderlands graphics but im sure you guys get the idea. Spoiler:loading screen will all be cartoony (DO SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS PLIIIIZ)

yeah im still trying to get the hang of the whole lighting and post processing stuff [sigh] guess thats more hours on youtube searching how to do it right. right now im just tweaking stuff hoping i get the right look.
well i guess thats it for today. Im not yet sure how these dev updates are handled so like my coding and postprocessing, i'll just wing it as i go along but you can point me in the right direction. and please dont forget to share and give feedback. even the negative stuff helps

Looks interesting so far, Gubwe! Is there plans for weapon customizations as well? Will we be able to dynamically add/remove a silencer while on a mission or is that something we chose via the armory? If you need anything don't hesitate to drop me a message :D

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking of puting customization as an "In mission thing" but im still trying to find ways of making it different from other games. but will drop you a line soon because it does get hectic working alone.

Hey boys and girls
So i finally got the weapon customization system working, special thanks to dottdogg for pushing me to keep at it. This is the prototype, i'll do a video on it once i decide on the theme i wanna go with for the menu. This system(customization) allows to add scopes(which obliviously changes the scope view position), grips, skins flashlights and those laser thingys depending on the weapon of course. I'm still on the fence about adding the silencer customization coz haven't figured out how to switch sounds.

and i've added two more characters . Stay Tuned, i know you guys are going to love this
NOT BAD FOR A GUY WHO CANT CODE(mic drop)

Hello wonderful people of the internet
sorry for the silence, its been a busy couple of months for me but im back now and focused on this project. like i had said, there were a few changes to my story line as i added two more characters which meant more work for me as im doing everything alone. but i dont mind.
so this is one of the three characters, lets call her Sky, for now, but i think i'll stick with the name. thats now of the chapters in her part of the game (dont worry all will be revealed soon. was playing around with some post processing (just amplify bloom, amplify color on the max LUT and some anti aliasing) not very good at it though so any feedback will be much appreciated. im also thinking of doing a devblog and showcase my workflow since im modeling some of the assets myself (like the room in the picture) and some of the other stuff. i dont know, what do you guys think?

Hie guys I’m going to share with you my level design process, in this particular case a downtown section (not country specific). This scene will appear in one of the characters’ missions in which she will have to interrogate a henchman for valuable information, obviously this is easier said than done. Hope you like it. Now I don’t have the luxury of a large budget so I mainly rely on free programs to get my work done, but this isn’t to say that these will do an average job. With a little bit of creativity one can make some really awesome models. So if you’re like me and have a small budget to work with this will hopefully inspire you to keep working and not give up. I won’t say much in this post since the video pretty much says it all. Hope to see you in the next post. Cheers i'm back on reddit if you wanna check that out: www.reddit.com/r/IndieGaming/comments/cz2gvg/viking_inc_now_officially_back/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2xwww.reddit.com/r/IndieGaming/comments/czhtob/viking_inc_down_town/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2xplease share and always remember your feedback is very much appreciated

hey boys and girls of the internet
i hope you're all doing okay and are safe in these tough and trying times. i'm okay and i know its been a while since i last posted something on this thread. been working on the game, learning new things, growing a beard etc. now after months of changing things i'm proud to announce that i will launching the game in a few days time. my hope is to release on the 18th of this month (18 April 2020) or on the 20th. all the same i hope you'll show your support and if its not your kinda game, get it for someone you know likes this sort of thing.
So the game (Viking INC) is about a special forces officer named Sky Williams who is moved her special forces work to a black ops wing of the millitary called, ofcourse Viking INC. they investigate and take out national and international threats that the normal military cannot engage in because of foreign policy and international restrictions.
in this particular case you, as sky are brought in to squash and recently emerged threat, which to find out you'd have to get the game.
of course i've used the invector template but i've also added a cover shooter to try and enhance the playing experience.

so the game has both shooting, cover mechanics as well as some martial arts melee action. i will upload a combat demo vid tomorrow just to give you a taste of what you can experience in the game.
i hope this has whet your curiosity but i will post more content tomorrow. please share this article and help me spread the word. stay safe and stay blessed.
