That's sad for you and I hope you found him... But, I don't really care, I don't mean I would especially looking here for inspiration and try to steal it, I would just ask the developer if I could implement it... if I really find it cool, however, it's a long way to release a game which goes over years so there is a 90% chance that you won't see it in a game which is in publishing state and then it's also a question if the quality is good of this fake. Also getting references for other people is essential for having a successful game as I remember creating a GDD without a reference could be most of the time impossible as at some point you have to get a solid concept. It's better to keep close contact to developer as Friendship is more important in a already really difficult and hard fightet branch... I give you a Game Concept Idea, once I remember in far future there will be a war, early bees vs night owls but the thing is they never meet each other Maybe Basketball teams and with a romantic Romeo and Julia scene where these are both in a different team ... I create an update video from the current progress today so stay tune!

A feature I'm really excited to introduce, the near range combat of our game Stone Reverie Here the recent changes ( Focus, Near Range Combat ) : - Added IK Transformations on Attack and Block - Added Block Interactions - Added new Sounds - Added Physics-Based Combat Here the link to the video:

Yeah it's also an interesting topic, basically what we did was to add a active ragdoll some months ago which allow us to have animated ragdoll actions ... After that we could change the OnTriggerStay on the Invector Hitbox script to OnCollisionStay and also remove the trigger on the items and replace it with colliders, to finally have collisions on hit ... Then adding some extra force to the collision impact point and also calculate the raw damage based on the relation between the collision impulse and the attacker and receiver rigidbody mass Turns out pretty decent and it's really a whole new level as you really have the feeling of touching the characters as all react with it

yeah it looks pretty neat in the video, I have also wanted to look at this sort of damage system. Are you planning on turning it into an addon, or keeping it in house? Yeah I keep it in house, however the idea is free to use if you want inherit something in the video keep going, currently it's really integrated into my frameworks like Puppet Master for the active ragdoll and Final IK so it would just not usable outside this environment so a addon would be probably too time consuming ...

The GDoC dev stated it could be a combo of RAM limitations and obsolescence (computer 8 years old). For example, at full screen it displays 8-10 FPS but in reality its 40-70. GDoC does a pretty good job optimizing the scene, I just ignore its FPS.
