I'm trying to get the mobile demo working and the inputs are responsive but ineffective.
I created a new project and imported the Basic Locomotion project; imported the additional mobile controls scripts package; switched platform to iOS, ensured Mobile Input was enabled, and ran the sample scene. I'm using Unity Remote to test with. The controls light up / animate in response to both touch input on my iPad and mouse input in the editor. But they have no effect; the character doesn't respond to the controls.
I'm using Unity 2019.1.2f1 and the latest Basic Locomotion from the asset store (purchased today). Developing on Mac, testing on iPad via Unity Remote.
There are a number of warnings regarding missing scripts on the avatar skeleton, and two about "Ignoring depth surface {load, store} action as it is memoryless". No errors/exceptions.
Have I missed a setup step? Any other ideas?
Thanks!

So I tried building and deploying to my iPad, instead of running in the editor and using Unity Remote. The controls don't work there either. Interacting with the mobile controls has no effect other than causing the camera to spin around. Since I need a character controller solution for mobile (tablet) use, this asset is currently unusable for me. Would really appreciate any help getting this working!

Select the "MobileControls" gameObject and hit the "Reset Button" to reset all the prefab information to the original and updated prefab.
The gameObject in the scene may be outdated with the wrong input names, that's why it won't work.

I was able to revert overrides (what I assume you meant by "Reset Button") and that fixed it. Weird, I hadn't messed with that prefab in the scene at all so I'm not sure why it was messed up, but all good now.
Thanks!
