Go into your Terrain settings and make sure the material is on Built In Standard, mine looks like your if I change to Built In Legacy Specular.

I have had this happen as well on a few terrains after upgrading to 5.5.1. The 2 things that have worked to fix this so far for myself are... 1 - if terrain texture has normal map then remove it to see if that is the issue 2 - make the terrain texture resolution higher
I had the default unity grass texture and it was doing this and then I replaced it with a higher resolution grass texture and that seemed to fix the issue.(i.e. option 2)
I am positive this is a Unity 5.5.1 bug for sure. I have not yet tried the 5.6 beta yet, so maybe it is fixed there?
Anyways go ahead and give those options a try and see if it works for you as well.

Make a new Material, set Nature/Terrain/Specular as its shader, edit it with this values: Specular color: Black; Shininess: 0.03 and assign it to your terrain in Terrain Settings - Material - Custom - Drag the new material.
Edit: Ok, there's a second page xD Anyway, I use this method for tweak some terrains.

Yeah the terrain might not work, how about if you try navigation and baking it. Is it in the camera view kajamaz ? Or the editor view? Both

I'm not sure how to fix the flickering kajamaz, but what Invector said should help with the reflection.

Hey guys, so I recently did a clean install of win 10 and unity, then when i loaded up my game, the grass gave me aids. It was extremely reflective, and I didn't understand why, also nothing would load past a certain distance when i played the game, mountains would flicker in and out. Can someone tell me why this happens? Thanks. I attached a picture, the grass is like glass. Can you give more details about the flickering? English isn't my first language and maybe there are other definitions that I don't know. Are the mountains themselves or the shadows of them? Because if it happens with the shadows, you can try reducing the "Near" value in Clipping Planes, in your camera; I don't know now, but a few months ago it was a Unity bug with some graphics cards.

I just need the smoothness/shine to go away honestly, i just want my terrain to look normal.

That's weird, the only thing that comes to mind if it's not that, is to edit the smoothness value of each texture in your terrain. Or try another rendering path, I don't know, I hope someone can shed more light.

has happened to me plenty of times in 5+, usually I have just had to change the entire texture to something different. I find it is when it hits certain alpha blends, which in gaia is all the time. I am pretty sure it's to do with one texture blending over another and whilst being nearmost 100% translucent still has some sort of smoothness effect.
