Hello, I am learning unity and invector by making a small sci-fi game. On one of the scenes, no sound is working. It is strange because I can preview the sounds, but in testplay mode, firing projectiles make no sound despite having the audio file in place, nor do any audio sources even though I have made sure that they're set to 3d sound with linear dropoff and the range is set large enough I should be included. Everything works fine in other scenes.
The only thing I can think is that it deals with very large vertical distances. In order to make a basic flight simulator, I created a box collider that was 7500 tall and set it under my character, adjusted gravity and changed the ground distance check so that I can continue to "jump". Because the ship wasn't a mecanim rigged character model, I had to create my pilot as the character controller, and then hid his mesh collider but attached the ship to him, so it moves properly.
I even tried leaving an audiosource as 2d and not setting dropoff to linear, figuring that I'd hear it anywhere on the map, just as a check to see if vertical distance were the issue. But still nothing. And yes, I did check to make sure audio wasn't muted. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
