Hey guys, As of late I've been really stuck with work at the office and haven't been able to make much progress on the quest system. Sorry about that. I will keep you posted if there's something new. But for the time being, there's not going to be anything new for the next couple of weeks.

Okay so got some time to work a bit on this and sorted out something that's been bugging me for sometime. Even rolfy asked this of me. If I open a chest will it still be opened the next time I came back from a saved game. Now it's safe to say yes The idea was to not only look at the item collection but something more complicated in general. Saving and Loading Animation States. So now you can save the state of ANY animation. Legacy and Mecanim both. I even managed to save the state of the door with the keycard (without saving the panel button materials of course) in the inventory examples

Guys at the rate I am developing, I got a few small bug fixes to make and stuff, but with the office work loading on me and a few other commitments to fellow developers I am not sure if I can reach the end August target I set for this tool .
In which case, I wanted your opinion on putting this up as a paid beta since some of you actually need this system ? Nothing changes about the release except that there are a few bugs that need to be ironed out and fixed; the documentation will of course be lacking in the beta, as in not a complete one.

Planing on around 25 bucks. Pretty much the same chronic gave on his pack. But this as you can see delivers a lot more

Yeah i dont know how it's going to work if you release to asset store as well, like invector has where if you buy through site they can't link it to your asset store account. So you'd have to find somewhere to host your files when you update it. Not sure how that will work but boy geeeeee i wanna get that beta

I am determined to publish this exclusively on the asset store. If the asset store is a no-go the quest system will probably not see the light of day :(
As for the beta being reduced in price, I don't think I will let it work that way. 25 bucks is more than a decent price for the set of classes I've written given the amount of man hours I put into them. After the beta is over I will actually increase it as I add more features to it, like the dialog system. Primarily the reason for publishing as beta right now is because of the lack of documentation. Otherwise, the system is all complete.
However, I am open to entertaining the possibility of selling chunks of the system as modules. Because not everyone is interested in the complete quest system. Some don't mind having just the vendor/currency system alone or the leveling and stats.

If the asset store is a no-go the quest system will probably not see the light of day :( well it was nice knowing ya ! :D C-man had issues with his quest addon and the asset store, communication with the asset store people was poor and despite his strong advice on requiring the template to be installed first, the tester team couldn't compile his code. After many attempts at explaining it to them he gave up and sold through his own webstore page. Couple this with Invector's own issues with the asset store and updates I wouldn't be surprised if it gets rejected :( If it comes up in beta I will definitely grab it, but I don't know if it will be out in time for me before I leave, but hopefully by the time I get back!

I think I can figure out a way around code compilation. See the problem with c-man's asset was it was a very heavily modified version of invector's scripts. Mine have nothing in common with invector scripts. It compiles fine on its own. If the demo scene wouldn't work I can simply publish the demo scenes separately over here.

tharindu, question I do have, how do you make it not on Invector scripts? Are you using it as a reference and pulling the attributes with the reference from those scripts together in a external script? Cheers!!! NuclearRasberry
