Can I assign a weapon to only be used in the right hand? I don't want the inventory to allow the weapon to be used in the left.

Can I assign a weapon to only be used in the right hand? I don't want the inventory to allow the weapon to be used in the left. If you are using melee weapon items, only defense weapons can be used in left Equip area (inventory). If area using shooter weapon, only bow use left hand and left equip area (inventory) . To bow equip in right equip area, you need to create custom EquipPoint handler in RightArm area ( click in New Handler on the RightArm area in the itemManager inspector), but the transform of handler you need to put in left hand to works correctly.

Am I looking in the wrong place? I have changed changed the Melee Weapon Settings to only defense for my shields and I can still equip them in both hands through the inventory.

You need to filter what kind of ItemType is applied to the EquipSlot you're selecting. Open your inventory prefab and search for the EquipSlot in the hierarchy

Sorry, still not working. I'm trying to have shields only appear in the left hand and swords only working in the right hand. I just changed the equip slots in the inventory prefab to defense in the second row. The first row I left as melee since there isn't an attack only option. Also, I changed the weapon type of all the shields to only defense and the swords to only attack in the melee weapon script of each weapon and shield. Am I still missing something in the tutorials?

Did you update the ItemType on your ItemListData as well?
