Hello everyone! Does anyone happen to know why my buttons won't get focused, when I try to equip stuff in the invertory using an Xbox controller? I can manage to hover over them, but no matter what I do on the controller, I can't select or bring up anything! It does work ok with mouse and keyboard input. Please see image in attachment! Unity 2019.4.4 Invector 2.5.3 Thanks Janos

Did you change the input mapping on vInventory? You need to change the joystick from "submit" to "a'.

Did you change the input mapping on vInventory? You need to change the joystick from "submit" to "a'. just tried it, the event that fires when I click the left mouse button doesn't seem to fire, when I hover over things an press A; or whatever I bind to A. But I could manage to get buttons focused with the horizonal arrows, in the second menu panel, by just changing from horizontal dpad to horizontal. But getting these buttons up only works with the mouse... :( My setup looks like this now:

OK the other thing to check is the events in your v item manager (this is the component you add to your character) at the bottom of the component you'll find your equip points, attributes, and events. Open events and make sure you have all the right ones in the "on open close inventory (boolean)" you can check one of the demo scenes to see what goes in there, I used the crafting demo scene and noticed there are 5 in it where in others there are 4. set lock basic input, set lock camera input, set lock mele input, lock cursor (all shooter mele input) and third person controller reset input animator parameters. hope this helps you out!

Awesome! Works like a charm! Many thanks!!! I have only one issue left though... I can get inventory equip buttons focused using the joystickcursor, but not using the arrows on the controller. And also pressing A doesn't select them. If I press any of the arrows before joystickcursor-select/focusing them, than I lose focus altogether... But in the second menu I can get buttons focused by arrows, but can not select them with A on the controller. Mouse still works fine.

First off, I'm guessing by "arrows on the controller" you mean the D-Pad??
And second, lol, I haven't experienced these problems but I'll throw a guess out there and say since it is acting differently on the two windows, the problems are probably in how the windows were set up.
I would compare them to a demo scene and make sure every setting is the same for the demo closest to what you are doing.
And Third, did you change any input setting in the project settings or just in the inspector?

Yes, I mean the D-Pad I did bind the Vertical and Horizontal axes to the DPad, along with WASD or arrows on the keyboard, whatever it was by default... I 'll take a look at a demo scene. Thanks for your answer!!!
