Hi all,
I’m working on my first game (well, second iteration). It’s about a trio of caveman brothers who are abducted by a UFO and taken to an alien Earth wildlife preserve complete with dinosaurs, giant scorpion, lizard-men and more!
I have a video on my YouTube channel with some of my progress so far. The player and NPCs are handled by Invector TPC and AI and the enemies and creatures are using Emerald AI. I experimented with other controllers, but found Invector’s the easiest to use and understand and easiest to extend and interface with my own scripts.
The video is linked below:
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Wow Eldv I think it is looking fantastic so far! It looks frantic and fun! I like the camera shake on the attacks. It makes them feel like they connect more. There is alot of shaking as a result though so I wonder if maybe having a "chance" of shaking would reduce how often it happens. I could be wrong though, might just be my personal preference.
This really is looking awesome though, looking forward to seeing more!

Looks really great! love the customization and the characters.
Some initial feedback: - the texts on enemies and score are quite big - The camera is too close, perhaps if you increase the height so that the character is not in the middle of the screen and you can have more viewscreen or increase the FOV - Excessive motion blur

I've actually been trying to figure that out. A couple of the dinosaurs have a ragdoll attached, which seems to excessively amplify the camera shake. I'm leaning towards a script on those figures to dampen the shake when they detect collision. Just have to figure out the best way to do that programmatically.

I took your advice and increased the FOV on the camera and it helped make it feel a lot less claustrophobic, especially when close to the cliff faces. I couldn't get the health bars and enemy text to stay in sync, so I ended up using a different method. The text and health bars now move as a unit. And a lot smaller now too lol.
