Just bought 3rd Person melee combat template. I am surprised there is no support for Unity's new input system, which has been available for a long time already. It's a problem, as I bought this to prototype something quickly. Does anyone know if there any modified InVector scripts for new input system available?

It's very complicated to change our input system now, we created our own and it's buried deep into our core. I started studying the New InputSystem yesterdat and created a prototype that just supports the Basic Locomotion inputs, next will be the GenericActions and so on, but it will take a while to change everything (inventory, mobile, addons, etc...)

I look forward to this happening. Doing so will simplify future integrations with emerging systems and will simplify the code. I was also planning to start playing with this concept, but truly do appreciate Invector migrating this themselves.
Thank you

It's nice to read that! I suggest that if you refactor the core, addons... to integrate unity input system that you do it with extensibility/modularity in mind. So we are also able to use any third party input system. In my case i'd like to use rewired. So even if you don't create a rewired integration i'd like to be able to create a child class of your input manager and be able to override methods so I can use Rewired instead

Yeah, I must say that being able to use the new input system would be a step in the right direction for sure. I know it's a lot of work, but I'm sure it will help people publish their game with a increased compatibility, therefore on more plateform (I know I would anyway)

I wrote a script that works with the new InputSystem for inVector Shooter if anyone is interested. Since it contains modified code from the paid asset I'm not sure I'm allowed to post it, but if anyone is interested PM me, to save others from having to do the same work.
I have not written code to handle the inventory yet, but movement, items, ladders etc works fine. Since this goes on top of the old system it is not fully optimized, and I'm hoping for an official re-write to handle the new InputSystem from the inVector team.

Hi, could you please send it to me as well? (devteam@lingomaniacs.com) Thanks, that's what I'm looking for as long as Invector hasn't released a solution for the new input system right out of the box. Cheers, Thomas
