Ok maybe this is a little complicated but let me explain.
I've managed to switch characters win a simple trigger.. basically my character touches a trigger and what it does is it teleports my character to a small cube underneath the stage where it is stored, another character who wasn't active becomes active, and the camera target switches to this new character via unity events on the simple trigger.
My original character isn't by default on the scene, i spawn it with my vgame controller because i'm using a life counter, checkpoints and i want to keep the same character between scenes to carry his inventory, That's why i never destroy him.
The thing is i want to use the other character only in some parts of a stage, and when it's done, destroy it or turn it off, and when that happens, return the target camera to my original character... but as it isn't in the stage by default, i can't select him and for the retarget using an event.
what can i do?
thanks!

If you’re using the newest versions of the controller, you can enable and disable the different character models in the same controller, if your character has the same animations and abilities it would be as simple as enabling and disabling with the triggers.

The vThirdPersonCamera has the methods:
SetTarget - set a custom target SetMainTarget - set the primary target ResetTarget - reset back to the primary target if the current target is different from the primary target
