First, thank you to the team or individual that put this amazing solution together, it has saved me an immense amount of time!
I've been working on a little project by myself for about a year now, I work rather quickly and efficiently as most of my skills from product development and design transfer over quite nicely.
The 'game' is inspired by Half Life, Portal, Fall out and is set in an open world where you are free to explore as you wish, or you can follow the story. Right now I've got a substantial amount done, as far as the visuals are concerned and the world building. There is still quite a lot to do, and I estimate at the earliest 2024 for a polished 3 hour demo if I continue this project on my own.
The setting of the game is post cataclysmic earth, where factions have developed and ideologies flourished. Fragments of humanity split off and become more advanced, while others regressed and became hostile. Explore skyscrapers peaking out of the oceans that have risen to submerge much of the world, evade dangers on the last bit of land left, and at all times keep your eyes on the sky, they may be watching.
This is one of the Advanced fragments of humanity, and their capital city, E-Den. I'll have some more ingame footage soon, I'm working off a 1050ti so everything is a pain. The combined map is huge, with many of the building having accessible floors.
I've developed the project with efficieny and optimization in mind. Everything has LODs and impostors, everything is designed to reduced drawcalls, however there is a lot more that can be done. If anybody is interested in contributing, or just following along, feel free to do so. I'll also be selling NFT art generated in game to raise some development funds.
