Not sure why with the default scene not being changed and restarting Unity The default character won't keep the "zipline" animation, instead he will play the "falling" animation. Also I noticed the tutorial is now different from your current player animator settings. Is this something you will update, because idk but it may be the reason behind the animation not playing. Also I did two ways. 1. Like the climb addon I did a transition to exit. 2nd time I tried: I did the transition to base layer locomotion and airborne. With "if grounded = true for locomotion and false for airborne. Also I recently made a video with a elf working perfectly with this addon. Now it has stopped working and not detecting the zipline at all. This is not the first time, I have had this exact issue before. It works one moment, reload the same scene and it no longer works with that character.
-edit- I got it to work with my character but I have to keep removing the zipline script the and it back again to make it work. None of my prefab characters work with the zipline script attached. :/

Try changing the Start method to a Awake method ;)

Hello,
I have problems getting the Asset to work with my Invector Top-Down Character. I tried for hours on several days and now I dont really know what to try anymore.
Its especially frustrating since both the example scene character and a copied character from the Top Down Shooter example work perfectly.
On the other hand I actually didnt change much with my own character besides very minor things that shouldnt affect the zipline functionality at all (no changes in layers, tags, existing colliders etc, only some script objects on top with no link to invector). I also watched your tutorial video closely and couldnt find any issue.
If I use my character - that works perfectly regarding invector - he just jumps through the zipline trigger and I dont get any errors or debug messages if I enable the debug mode.
I hoped that you could maybe hint me where to look or what could be wrong.

So the zip line script called Zipline.cs
Open it and search for the "void Start" Delete the word "Start" and type "Awake" So it becomes "void Awake".

In the video tutorial, the animator looks a bit different then the new animator from 2.2.5. In the video all actions are linked to the Base Layer substate machine, but in the new animator, all actions are linked to the exit state. Now I cannot make the transition from zipline to airborne. The demo scene works correctly, but when I update my own character, the zipline animation does not play. Hopefully my explanation makes sense.

If your character is entering the Fall animation when is ziplining, try adding this condition:

I have a similar problem, I have just bought the Zipline add-on and it doesn't work for me (I have the shooter template (last version). I have integrated the swim and free climb add-on successfully but this one is making me crazy. The player ( I have tried in all different simulation conditions on my scene and on the demo scene) gets rejected from the using zeppelin to the exit zeppelin state (look at the debug on the video) with no reason: www.dropbox.com/s/b4a7pyzeth8kw45/2018-04-15_16-39-57.mp4?dl=0On the demo scene the investor player works fine, even the inventor player works fine with the new controller so apparently the animator and the controller works fine, but on my character it doesn't work. dav make sure your Enter Zipline input is unchecked if you want to automatically use the zipline I think it's enabled and you're enter/exiting by pressing space

Thanks i drove myself crazy before over the zipline and i wish i could tell you i have the answer but i couldn't find it and i kept trying for a long long time my experience with invector's stuff is to install it first and then build onto it. i had to rebuild my project and i have zipline working fine now. i spent so much time trying to avoid doing so when i could have been done with it and moved on. i also use dk uma with my invector
