Hello friends. I'm having trouble customizing my player so he can use a flashlight while he walks. What would be the best way for this?
I also have plans to use a flashlight and a gun at the same time, but I do not even know where to start.

I'd treat it like a regular one handed weapon. Just assign it a number and in the animator controller, add in a new set for holding the weapon. Same with the aiming etc, can treat it like a shooter only without any ammo.

You could also use a chest mounted flashlight and then just play an animation to enable/disable the light. Depends on your type of game of course.

It's more complicated than this!
I'm working on the third person. The Flashlight needs to be in the player's hand. I'm trying to do this by using it as a MeeleWeapon, but in this case it would be necessary to have IK's option to adjust my player's hand. But this does not exist at the moment.
Maybe I could use a motion animation ready for this by registering it in a unique MoveSetID, but in this case I would have to have a WALK animation with flashLight. Something like a person with their hands outstretched as if they were aiming at something but only with one hand. But I have no such animation. For this reason the best would be to have conditions to use IK the same is done with the Shooter.
Anyway, I'm having a lot of difficulties here.

If you have the Shooter template you could create the flashlight like a shooter weapon, but without any ammo or effects. You can also add a single animation at the upperbody or onlyArms layer if you want a specific animation

I think this concept is similar to destiny. Magic Spell on Right Hand and Guns on left hand. Is it possible that when your aiming you can shoot guns like the default now and if your not aiming you can shoot magic or use melee weapon?

Currently the controller does not support left hand shooter weapons, so gun in left hand will be hard to do.

Long time ago we created a flashlight (left hand), duplicating the "State" of defense (Animator = LeftArm = Defense), adding a new DefenseID, an animation holding a Flashlight and creating a new "defense" weapon with the new DefenseID.
The flashlight was in the left hand when equipped and when you click right click to "block", the character pointed forward and the flashlight turned on using a basic script attached to it.
Edit: Just test it with a torch and works fine, the only problem we see is that defense weapons doesn't use MovesetID and the torch clips through the body when character isn't "pointing".

Yea i'm seeing the same thing, attempting to add a torch now and i can't seem to get the torch to be held forward unless i block, ideally i'd want it to always be held out in front of me while the torch is out.
