Honestly, I call it 1 : 1 on both sides. So it may be asset flipped (bad), but at the same time, it’s a really popular game atm imo. Which is making Invector more of a popular asset.

I really hate to sound like "that guy", but in no way shape or form does this make either asset look good, as a matter of fact Jim Sterling tore the whole combat system and menu apart. This is a completely disgusting attempt at trying to grab some quick cash and not having even an inkling of skill or know how to make a game. The worst part to me at the moment is not being able to defend the assets, by showing what can truly be done with them. Steam pulled this game within 20hrs due to Cartoon Network filing a DMCA, thank you Steam for that at least. The fact that people even try to defend this person for all of the trash games they have made sickens me deeply, they have a petition to Steam to get their account reinstated, and sadly I have to say that I hope that NEVER happens. The word asset flip has been thrown around about Unity for some time and this is another prime example of why Unity gets the wrap it does, I mean hell if you can not spend the time to make your own creations out of the assets and art that people have made for you, then just stay the hell away from making games. Taking demos and saying they are yours makes me want to punch these people in the face! I hope that soon I will be able to help defend Invector as well as hamzah and get one of these Youtubers to view what these assets are really capable of being in the right hands.

Though devil's advocate, it could have been a 12 yr old kid who really likes rick and morty and doesn't know a great deal about game dev or property rights and just wanted to make a game about pickle rick. Though "piccle ricc" could have been a way to knowingly attempt to avoid copyright :P

uberwiggett while I would absolutely agree with you under most circumstances, the fact is, this is not a 12 year old kid at all it is a grown man that lives in Washington state, he is a loser and got what he deserved. People may want to think it was a smart marketing ploy, playing on the fact that everyone loves Rick and Morty, but the truth is it was idiotic and now he ruined any chance of a career in development. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Ah, I see @jrackely, my bad. Guess it was a bad example to be using Invector.
Scratch my last post I made here (not this one).

Well... there is a lot of asset flips out there, and it's kind of sad when we see something like that specially mobile games where sometimes the ' developer' does a build>export>publish without changing anything There is no escape devs like this, but we still hope that our tools are being used by good developers that are creating good games, or at least learning more about Unity.

Just go to show, you do not need to even create a good game as long as you finish building and publishing it, you to could be famous.
Good on the developer.
Maybe with the sale money, he/she might get some more staff and create the next Witcher 3.
