Errors importing somthing about vline I am assuming you're using the latest version of Invector (melee 2.3 or shooter 1.2) . The addon updates may have not hit the asset store yet and I can't remember the exact namespace name either. But I am sure the vLine namespace may have changed. Invector can help I believe.

The Shooter 1.2.0 and FreeClimb from both vStore and AssetStore are working just fine.
The vLine is a class created by the vExtensions which is a BasicLocomotion script, you probably have a old script in the Project, just create a new empty project and import the asset, it should work just fine.

Hi, I've been playing with this add-on and had a few questions I figured would be helpful for the whole community to get answers to.
1. How do I change the speed of the climbing? With my current speed of locomotion the climbing grinds the pacing to a halt.
2. Is there a way to jump up to the end of the climb? Right now if your within range of the end you cannot jump. I guess it would have to check if from the final position(in angle of axis) you can do the climb up.
3. What do the final 2 if's check for in CheckClimbUp()? I had to disable them to use on terrain without near perfect corners.
Thanks I really appreciate the Character Controller and the continued development of add ons. This add on was especially exciting.

I'm using free climb on a cliff object, but the character never gets to the top. When at the top, he just gets stuck there and will never finish climbing up so he can move forward. Here is a video.

Make sure your option "AutoClimbEdge" is checked in the inspector, also the surface could be probably not flatty enough, the correct approach for that is to create custom colliders to better climb and avoid issues with the object mesh.

SJL Replace line 225 else if (dragInfo.canGo && (enterExitInput.GetButton() || TP_Input.cc.input.y > 0.1f) && !dragInfo.inDrag && Time.time > (oldInput + 2f)) to else if (dragInfo.canGo && enterExitInput.GetButton() && !dragInfo.inDrag && Time.time > (oldInput + 2f)) Now you need to use the Enter/Exit Climb Input, you can remap in the inspector ;)

I'll have to check the AutoClimbEdge, but I tried to add some box colliders at the top of the object and that caused the character to instantly teleport to some point far away in space and was just stuck there.

Great addon! I've managed to create a custom Melee character with no problems. A couple of things are bugging me though:- 1. What might cause the arms and legs to sink right into the free climb surface? Could this be colliders on the hands and feet being positioned incorrectly or something else? I've looked at the character in wireframe and limbs seem to be correctly rotated. 2. If I walk to the left into a freeclimb surface (using D on keyboard) climbing doesn't start (happens in demo scene too). I think this would confuse the player. Is there condition that only allows climbing to occur when facing a freeclimb surface straight on?
EDIT: 3. If character is at top of a freeclimb surface and walks forwards or steps backwards off the top, wouldn't it be better if it automatically grabbed hold and hung on at the top rather than just falling off?
Happy to try tweaking code if you can point me to the right place. Cheers.

I fixed my issues 1 and 2 by editing/scaling the character mesh and re-rigging it in mixamo.
Point 3 would be nice though, also a way to either drop off the moving platform by pressing down when you are the bottom or pressing a button to let go.

in 2018.2 i cannot climb in the demo scene the character is doing the first "step" on the mountain/wall but after that it is stuck in that position i read that "TargetException: Non-static method requires a target." shouldnt affect anything other errors i do not have .. how can i debug, where to look to see why it feeezes the movement ? animator ? animation ? LE: actually coomenting that line like here and reimporting / restarting made it work invector.proboards.com/thread/1680/2018-input-horizantal-setup-issue

Sometimes Unity doesn't fully import the assets, in this case, you need to restart the editor so it can update the animations .meta files information.
