I noticed in a question above, you had mentioned unequiping the weapon before climbing was achievable with the OnEnter event. How is this done? I have a GameObject attached to the event with a method to "Disarm". But how do I trigger the "unequip" event. I cannot trigger "Equip"(?) trigger because it will Un-equip then Re-equip. Also, it will mess up any state information. How do I trigger the un-equip in vItemManager? If that is what needs to be done. Thanks You can either turn off the handler object or if you have the vDrawHideShooterWeapons component you can call the method ForceHideWeapons

Finally got back to this issue. I've tried multiple ways to get the player to disarm himself before climbing but still no success. I've used a small script to simply disable the Weapon Holder and add that to the OnEnter trigger. No success. This attempt (shown in the video) uses the vDrawHideShooterWeapons method. You can see I also have the vWeaponHolderManager and vWeaponHolder scripts attached appropriately. Regardless of the method I always get the result below.
Any help would be great.

And by not using the method to hide weapons the climb works correctly?

I have just upgraded all packages to the new 1.3.1 (i.e. Shooter). Now it seems I cannot figure out a way to keep my character from automatically entering a free climb. I cannot seem to find how to turn this off. Any ideas?

In case anyone else is interested:
Add a new
public bool autoEnterClimb; Then in the ClimbHandle() method before the check for EnterClimb() and ExitClimb() add the following code
bool goodToGo = true; if (!autoEnterClimb) { goodToGo = enterExitInput.GetButton(); } else { goodToGo = (TP_Input.cc.input.y > 0.1f); } and now around line 243, to check for EnterClimb(), remove
(enterExitInput.GetButton() || TP_Input.cc.input.y > 0.1f) and just replace it with the goodToGo variable.
Basically, you're just getting rid of the OR condition.

Someone earlier in the thread asked if there was a way to make it autoclimb on terrain. Has anyone given thought to it? I have been using the terrain sample height so I have a system that changes the camera state when on certain slopes. I thought I could use the EnterClimb() n ExitClimb() functions (I know they are protected but made a helper class to call them)). It is weird in that it puts me back to the last object that I had climbed that was set with the climb tag, so I expect it has something to do with the last variable of the freeclimb object...

Hello, I got some problems with this addon, which I showed in the video. That's very strange, never seen this bug before. Can you try recreate your character and setup the climb again? I think it could be related to a bad ragdoll or maybe you miss a step in the freeclimb setup process

Is there a simple way to change climb speed? If not, which line do we need to change to increase it?

Has anyone figured out a way to drop to climb if stood at the top of a climb object? Seems a bit of an oversight to let us climb to the top but no way back down other than to jump to our deaths!
