Had a question I've been checking for out wip projects and videos no one has custome sounds? Like for enemies getting hit and dying I'd love to see someone showcase that. I'm super excited and can't wait for the shooter template to be released. I'm going crazy recording sound and want to release a pack to the community soon. I have some cool zombie sounds I could share. Also I'm going to release a character for the community to use for their projects. I'd love to see what other come up with.

I could really use some zombie sounds for my game. Mine is supposed to be like GTA's open world but with zombies around and quests around the map. Right now I'm just struggling on which terrain asset to get. Fortunately this could help get a few things out of the way on my checklist!

If your still deciding on Terrain assets, i would say Big Envirement Pack www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/3277 and Yughee's ground and natural materials (He's got a bunch of free material packs) If you want sky's Allsky is crazy good, especially for night sky's. I have Gaia, and though i use it, It's a pain to get working especially with world streamer that for me it's better to color the maps by hand. I am working on some basic sounds, but i think the reason most people are not showcasing them is that they are working on the core of the game, and sound you can usually do later on in the development.

I completely agree with shadex on the custom sounds aspect, we do have a few implemented into our scene however it is about building out the core right now getting all of the functionality working out . But I will post a video really soon of some things we have going, and may hit you up on some custom sound effects pretty soon as well xenoblackinc.

It's actually pretty good. I've played around with it, and was playing around with dynamic music. I simply wrote some battle music and Overworld music in Renoise that shared the same refrain and shared similar instruments. IMHO sound is like UI in games. When done right you don't really notice it, as it pulls you into the world. Done well it makes the game without you noticing it. Done poorly, like UI, it pulls you out of the game and ruins it. I'd love more games to take sound seriously, and more then just a theme song!
