I have just updated to Shooter 1.3.2 in a fresh project in Unity 2019.2 and have found an issue with the ladders.
There are no errors in console and movement works fine in the demos but when you enter a ladder the player doesn't exit at the bottom or top, you just keep climbing forever.
This includes going back down the ladder, when you reach the ground you just go through and keep climbing down forever.
You can exit the ladder with Spacebar and land on the ground just fine, just seems the ladder exit triggers don't work anymore.
Has anyone else come across this in the latest version and found a solution?
TIA.

You've got this issue on what demo scene? perhaps it's an old prefab that needs to be updated.

Hey sjmtech and @invector It was really odd I created a completely new project from scratch in 2019.2.1f1 and it works again now (but with the ladder issue where the player is offset - I can fix this). One thing of note, the problem does exist in 2019.3.0a12 as described above though as this is alpha I expect odd issues to occur. I wonder if I stuffed up the previous project somehow :/ At this point I will keep testing but maybe it was something odd with my install of 2019.2.0. Thanks for you help.

Just as a bit of a follow up on this one. I have installed 2019.3.0b1 now that 2019.3 is in beta and the ladders still don't work (same issue as 2019.3 alpha).
I thought it must have just been because 2019.3 was in alpha but now in beta and still same issue I am thinking they might have changed something with physics or colliders in this new version :(

@invector sorry for the run of comments on this one but I have tested 2019.3.0b3 now it is out and the ladder climbing still doesn't work correctly (player never leaves the ladder and climbs forever). I am sure this is not an Invector "bug" but a breaking change in 2019.3
I am pretty keen to try migrate one of my projects across 2019.3 to test other features in it but without the ladder working I cannot do this. Being aware that many dev teams don't support beta versions (fully understand) I don't expect a release that supports 2019.3 but I don't suppose you and your team have tried 2019.3 internally yet and have a quick fix for this.
I presume it is due to changes in the physics components in 2019.3 but that is just a guess.

We don't even have any beta releases installed due to instability reasons, even if we fix a bug for that particular alpha or beta when the official release comes we would very likely have to change things again, that's why we strongly don't recommend using those versions.

@invector
I appreciate the stance on not supporting beta's at all. I understand how frustrating it would be to support the changes that happen during the beta cycle. Just hoped your team had at least had a peek LOL.
I'll wait for GA version before continuing.

Hey I just upgraded my project to 2019..3 b and have noticed the same issue with 1.3.1. So I think you are right the issue is not with invector but with Unity. If you do find a fix please let me know. Thank you

conairgames I never found a solution so for the current short project had to move to another controller. I much prefer the Invector controller and am sure they will find a solution I just didn't have the time to spend on it trying to find a solution and Invector's team hadn't even installed 2019.3 at the time I raised this.

We take a step back and redesign the whole ladder system, it's still w.i.p. but I think it will be on the next update.

Ohh that sounds exciting, can't wait to see it (hopefully fixes the ladder issue with 2019.3). Can I be cheeky and ask for a "rough" eta for the next update ;)
