Hi, I just purchased Shooter template from your website into my existing project. I dont include ANY of the Project Settings.
The character walks up in the air and doesnt react to xbox 360 controller and so I tried installing
DynamicsManager.asset InputManager.asset TagManager.asset
This basically just destroyed my existing layers and tags and inputs, and replaced them with blank versions.
Character still walks in the air and is not reacting to controller.
I started going through the tutorial and was to the first point pressing play after setting up the inventory item (handgun) but got no further due to the bad behaviour.
Any ideas of what could be wrong, and can I revert back to my Layers, Input and Tag settings as none were included in the ones I just installed from the shooter package?

The template is sold as a Complete Project, which requires a custom ProjectSettings as instructed in the documentation, we always recommend to import the template on a clean empty project to have a base, and then import your assets.
I recommend importing the project settings again which you can do by going to the menu 'Invector > Import ProjectSettings', if that doesn't work try creating a new empty project.

Thanks, I already have a large terrain that I cannot just dump. Is there a list of the setting that are vital, so I can use my existing terrain.?

You can simply import your terrain into the new project, but try importing our project settings again on your current project, it should work. All the necessary settings are those 3, as informed in the documentation

Yes, it worked I imported the settings and this time it worked fine but the character is acting odd. I am not sure if its because I have'nt finished going through the setup but I did reach the point in the shooter video tutorial that stated to press play. In the video here I am just trying to walk around using the xbox controller. Keyboard is same. Thanks again Heres whats happening: 1drv.ms/v/s!AqCnWIL3cdjfgvEdLrd7SVbK8z_yXQ?e=DYzceE

It was actually the Layer,
The new issue now as the character moves fine, is that when the character stops moving he falls through the terrain (terrain set to default layer)...
This was true of the demos also.
Thanks again for the assist with these initial setup issues. Much appreciated.
