I updated to v2.5.0 recently and try to figure out changes. I managed to get TurnOnSpot working correctly in FreeMode for the last versions, but it needed some modifications of your code and animator.
It now seems, you have overhauled many of your movement and direction concepts, so my workaround doesn't fit anymore.
Does the TurnOnSpot option do anything at the moment? I don't see anything happening, neither for free nor strafe modes. Some animator transitions seem to be muted also.
There is a new option "Rotate with camera" in vThirdPersonController->Locomotion->FreeSpeed, but it just transform.rotates without animations. It just looks unnecessarily awkward, compared to animations, sorry. :-(
You have the animations and the animator is prepared too, please get this to work. I'm merging my workaround for nearly two years, but now i'm a bit overwhelmed of all the changes. Thank you!

We changed a lot of things regarding movement on this last update and the TurnOnSpot may have been affected... I will take a look and try to improve the method, but yes, you should use the TurnOnSpot with the RotateWithCamera option to have a visual effect

Do you think you can investigate the issue somewhere soon? I don't mean to rush you, but I would rather roll back to the last version, if this is something you would schedule more for a next release.
