Hello,
can someone help me how to bind an enemy to the same path that my player is walking? I got the problem that the enemy is always moving to all directions when I hit him. Is there a ways that he will just stay on the path like the player?
I tried it with baking mesh but that does not work the way I want it.
Thanks in advance

Check our 2.5D demo scene, there are AI's there limited to the path

Hello,
I checked out the 2.5 Demo but there is no enemy in the scene. Just obstacles.
Sorry
I just cannot figure it out.
Best

Do you have the MeleeCombat or the Shooter Template? they both have 2.5D demo scenes with AI's

Yeah well I use the melee template and FSM Ai but I cannot find a demo scene with the 2.5D path.

It's on version 2.5.0 go to the menu Invector > Welcome Window > Add-ons and import the 2.5D MeleePackage

I dont get it... I am using an older version of the controller.
Cannot find a documentation or guide to it.
I just want the enemies to stick to the path like my player does.
I am going crazy...

No need to go crazy buddy, you just need to bake a narrow path for the AI, like in the demo scene example:

Hi, thank you for you answer but I get no good results when I do it like this. The Ai is instantly dying when I go into play mode. I am looking for a way to connect the AI to the path that my player uses in 2.5D.
I tried to use a script like in the 2.5 Input but its not working...
I dont want the AI to move in another direction. Just the same like my player.

Did you check the demo scenes? I recommend updating to the latest version so you can have access to the new features and updated examples. The AI doesn't move on the X or Z axis... you simply need to check the FreezePosition in the Rigidbody

Hey I think I found the problem I had the whole time.
I just deleted the big recoil animation... it always got the enemy away from the baked nav mesh. As soon as the enemy got hit it got stuck on the position and was not able to move back to the path.
Thanks for your help.
Still I would prefere it the way the player assignment works :-)
