I asked Tharindu about using some of his code of this. I don't think he will be coming back anytime soon.

Also I don't wish to usurp code from tharindu as that isn't fair to him. His inventory management is also based on old item processes, of which will change again in the upcoming patch.
The rpg pack will have its own UI system to handle inventories, random loot drops, vendors and crafting.
The spell system is already working with spells equipping as weapons. However this will be extended to include abilities that can be activated via a hotbar.
Would people prefer to wait a while for it to be made, and then buy the package? Or would you be more interested in paying a patreon subscription and receiving it in a modular fashion as components are developed and improved? (Haven't planned it out yet but just putting feelers out there )

I'd buy the package. Is the hotbar and the spells drop and drag (not a need more of a want)? Thanks Uber for picking up the torch and running with it. I'd like to see some vids (developer diary) of your progress. I think that would be awesome! To help your project get some more PR, a thread in the "Work in Progress" section might help advertise what you are doing! Cheers and I for one am very excited to see what you come up with. This is the only missing pieces that I need!

Haha all good legion it was just replying to ward off the future questions Our UI will feature drag and drop inventory and hotbar for abilities/spells. I'd like to make it a limited hotbar (think action buttons rather than a row of 0-9). But will see how it goes. As for a devlog, I'll take a look at it this weekend if we want to produce a preview video or wait a bit longer.

For the spell/ability hotbar can we change it to 1 slot? I want the player to make a hard choices before entering combat like should I have heal on hotbar or something offensive.

You'll be able to modify the slot amount.

Hey Legion, been a long time mate. Guys betamax has been bugging me all over the place lol xD social media, email and the forum so I decided to come and see what the fuss was all about. Frankly me professionally stepping up to Unity will not happen anytime soon for many things out of which my health concerns on thyroid cancer is a top one. I frankly have no problem in you guys using my code, but all I ask is for some credit on the source. Nothing more. I've been friends with uberwiggett for a long time and I am confident if he takes over it's in good hands. I too can contribute now and then as I no longer hope to make money out of Unity as I cannot stay invested in this pursuit. However I have to agree with him and my advice is to wait for the new system. Also my learnings from the RPG Pack was to not try to code editor scripts to get the Invector look and feel. While it's awesome it's a quite difficult feat to pull off and the scriptable objects, if not properly handled can get quite messy. My advice is to keep things stupid and simple and have a robust system of scripts rather than something that looks amazing

Is this still in development or finished?
Thanks.

The fact that Ubers hasn't said anything means that it is still in development. This project just start a few weeks ago, so I would imagine it might be a spell before its test and ready.
