The AI follows the way point system but I’m having a problem with the AI attacking the player. The AI detects the player but does not attack. It’ll only respond after being attacked (even though I have aggressive at sight checked). i have detection current state set to patrol way points.

It's actually a bug from the last version it's missing a line in the PatrolWaypoints() method, added at the end of the method:
if (canSeeTarget) currentState = AIStates.Chase;
This will make the character switch the currentState to Chase again
