[Solution] I think I'm doing this properly. I had to create an animation trigger that went to the animations Exit state, when ever I hit my assign cancel button (in my case Input.getkeydown("Space")) to "Cancel" the action. Works like a charm, but something tells me that there may be another way. Hopefully some one will add to this post. [Problem] Hello All, I'm trying to use a Trigger Generic Action in order to enter one state, which I can do, but I can't exit out of it. What I am trying to do is have the character go to the ball and enter a "Golfing" state. I want the player to be able to get out of it but I can't figure out how. My character is stuck in this state and I don't know how to go back to the previous walking around state. Is this done with Generic Actions or Trigger Generic Action or some kind of mix. I'm pretty confused on how to do this. Here is an example video. When I enter the Golfing state I wrote some code to have the player rotate around the ball to adjust her aim for swinging. Thanks!

You don't necessarily need to create a new animator parameter, you could use the ActionState(int) to manipulate the action
