Trying to make the roll more Dark Souls like and am confused

The inheritance classes are so confusing.
ThirdPersonController Inherits from 5 or 6 classes. It's confusing. If I want to change something, where do i change it?
For example I want to change the way the roll works, in the code, of course.

Can some one give me guidance on this.
