Hello everyone,
Recently I stumbled onto an old YouTube video created by John Laniba with his method and scripts for allowing the Melee Controller to use particle systems as projectile weapons. These can be used for damaging spell-like effects. The scripts were slightly outdated, so I went ahead and updated them to work with the current version of the Melee Third Person Controller. The modifications are on a response to my post praising John for his work on the scripts. The original scripts are accessible through the link in the description. Only one of the scripts need to be modified in order to get the system working.
For myself I’ve already modified it to work with PoolBoss object pooling, and tied it into the Inventory System, so that when a player picks up a certain item, it can change the spell effect that is used. I have provided the YouTube link below. Again, look for my comment, and see the reply for instructions on updating the fire projectile script.
