So I’m using FSM AI, I’m using it for melee enemies, and everything seems to be more or less working very well. I need to have my enemies able to make different varieties of attack, and figured the “strong attack” method would be a good thing to use and to extend to further attack options. The issue is it just never actually fires. I have an enemy that’s holding a weapon, “use strong attack” is enabled on said weapon, I have the right components on the enemy (to the best of my knowledge), and the strong attack just never happens. I wrote a debug.log line just to show me if the attack function was called with strong attack == true and no dice.
As a side question, I see the function for attack, but which script is it that’s actually calling the attack function primarily? I’ve been extending the AI mildly to meet my needs, but nothing that would interfere with strong attack. I just can’t find where it’s called to be able to debug further. Thank you!
Edit: After some more dev time today, it also seems like the enemy won’t do the third attack in its combo chain. I’m not sure if the issue is related or not, but figured it was worth adding. That variety would help. Either way, it’s not the primary issue.
