If you're getting these 3 errors after importing the latest update on 2017.1 and 2017.2:
It's very simple to fix it, just open the 2 scripts and replace the following line
#if UNITY_2017_1_OR_NEWER
to
#if UNITY_2017_3_OR_NEWER

Is this still a problem for asset 1.2.0 in 2017.3?

rich it's a hotfix only for 2017.1 and 2017.2 like the title suggests, 2017.3 is working just fine.

does this work in unity 2018? For us, Shooter is working without problems in Unity 2018.1.0b12, hotfix not needed in this version.

I did a quick test on 2018.1 today and at first, it didn't import the ProjectSettings which was odd and result into an error of missing Input... then I imported again and this time the Project Settings worked.

Just hit import again from the asset store and make sure that the InputSettings is checked.

I'm having the same problem on 2018.1.0f2 I have created a new project and imported the projected, 5 times now, and the projects settings file idividually 10 times in a row and I still have the "ArgumentException: Input Axis LeftAnalogHorizontal is not setup" error.
Any other suggestions?

Any other suggestions? Yes, I've added a secret package inside the project called vProjectSettings, search in the Project tab and import. This should work ;)
