Man I can not wait until this hits the asset store...I already own just about everything invector makes and have a work in progress going on with the Shooter Pack and some of the add-ons but this new AI pack really has my brain buzzing..

Now this one you guys will freak out - I absolutely love this feature and the possibilities are endless In this tutorial, we show one example of how to expand the behavior of your AI using our SendMessage FSM Action and MessageReceive AI Component. With this feature, you can easily trigger a sound, particle, animation, call a method, anything that our Events can do from the FSM State to the Controller AI. We also show how to set up the Animator Controller to trigger new animations, how to use the CheckState Decision of the FSM and 2 ways that you can trigger sound effects using either the FSM or the Animator.

Hello Third Person Community. Whats good?
Is it me or is in the current unity asset store version of the shooter package the waypoint system gone?
In my project at home, I was able to set waypoints for the enemies. By no means, I can find it now. I decided to bring my laptop on a business trip to educate myself on this asset between meetings. So It's a fresh install.
To the developers: I would kindly like to request that the AI template will be able to let the AI climb objects/ladders. Eventually, I would also like to see AI compatibility for non-humanoid enemies. Not sure if this is covered, haven't found the time to see all videos about the new template.
Thanks for your information. L.

@invector Send message action for AI sounds amazing guys, but I predict a problem for me. I use the Adventure Creator integration with shooter controller, and have actions for my player to open doors with it. If player opens door and plays animation, how can this AI "know" that this door is already open so he not need to open again? AI would need to know Adventure Creator variables? Maybe in future, AI add-on will have integrations as well?

Hold up. The AI cant climb ladders and obstacles? Isn't this something the older AI could do already? Or is this one of the things that you need to create the "FSM Action" in the core of AI's brain so it knows what to do in those situations? Which brings me to another question. Is it possible, with this AI to make the AI Character to interact with anything i want? Say it needs to pull a lever, or simply trip and fall off the cliff. Push boxes, kick things etc. More like is the FSM system advanced enough to support these ideas? If it is, i can already see the mega mess of nodes and what not for my AI :D

The older AI couldn't climb ladders and stuff except for a veeeeeeery older version that took a massive hit on performance to do things like that. There's currently a fun way to do this, take a look at the sniper example. But I am trying to see if it's actually possible to make certain generic actions accessible for the AI. I see this doing massive things with my quest system <3

That was just a scene I created for the Tutorial, but the SendMessage action is demonstrated with the vEmojis in the main examples scene. Hello Third Person Community. Whats good? Eventually, I would also like to see AI compatibility for non-humanoid enemies. Not sure if this is covered, haven't found the time to see all videos about the new template. Thanks for your information. L. We actually have to remove the Waypoint system from the Melee Combat Template to add into the AI Template, otherwise it would be duplicated scripts when using both assets together. The AI Actions are very customizable, climb ladders is a little tricky but we do have plans to add in the future. @invector Send message action for AI sounds amazing guys, but I predict a problem for me. Maybe in future, AI add-on will have integrations as well? You can use the NavmeshObstacle component with the Carve option, we have a example of that on the Door prefab of the Basic Locomotion Scene. If you bake the scene, it will automatically create navmesh to pass through the door when open, and rebake the path when closed.

Yes I understand but I think if you put up the FSM file it would help me find out where I went wrong in creating something similar with custom animation. If you have like a library it might help you save time and members can start contributing to AI library

This is why I kept on repeating to people to 01. chill out and wait for the new AI 02. may be even pay for the product and not take it for free It's great, it provides a lot of features and it's so fucking awesome. I have bought many AI tools, nothing that has conveniently helped to make stuff like this. Other tools have either gone completely over to the darkside by letting totally coding take over OR gone completely noob by making them difficult to extend after having it made it completely UI driven. This FSM implementation is the bomb. Perfect blend. Took me less than an hour to do that.

I am eligible for it free since I own the shooter template via the asset store so is there a link to a pay service where I could send a donation? I really don't have the money to just buy it outright on sellify but would like to perhaps send what I could in support...
