So, these are some ideas ive gathered while making games with Invector's TPC.
I know damn well that there are only two guys working on it, but the idea is not to rush but to push. *Besides, we got community of talented people to help them.
Meaning that when they got the time, they could add it to the controller. *Again IF you guys got the time.
IDEA is that these are the small details, not some "Please add Monster Hunter climbing & dragons dogma game-play to the controller!" style of shit.
We have most of those already, now climbing on enemies would be epic but also require Mesh Collider that updates every frame.
Some dude in Finland actually achieved to make collider that updats all the time, havent got reach of him yet.
- The Ability to have weapon & item "Unsheathed" using Weapon Holder without actually making it disappear. Ability to have multiple items on "Ready" state is incredibly useful, and would eventually mean that you dont need inventory to begin with. If you could control them by pressing certain key to equip them.
- ^ Considering this, having an automatic Action to Un-Equip & vice versa when you do some action. Accessable bool would be epic for this to control this outside the main scripts.
- You run very fast, and suddenly some upper force lets the run key off. Your character does "Quick Stop" instead of moving back to basic Idle right away.. Perhaps even optional built in "exhausted" animation after Stamina is gone.
- Equip Delay time for each weapon you have. *This has already been adressed by Tharindu for example, expect it works universally.
- Make all of the possible variables & bools public. This would help a ton, as for now Un-Sheathing certain weapon doesn't exist. Controlling the Controller from outside scripts would get tons of easier.
- Have an Bool to disable everything controller based, to be controlled by another source.
So yeah, these are my ideas of few improvements. I believe, that some beautiful day this Controller will be the best there is.
If any of you got more, feel free to add them
*If anyone with playMaker needs sliding or stomp FSM's, im happy to help with them.
