Working an RE type of game and i have some issues i encounter a lot and can't seem to find a fix for are:
- instant camera switch (right now you can see the transition between the locations, id like it to be instant so there's no camera location switch motion viewable)
- camera triggers
(there seems to be an issue with going in a trigger and then returning to a previous trigger, the cameras won't switch unless the player exits the previous trigger completely and re-enters it again)
Any thoughts on how to fix these would be great ^_^

That will get rid of the transition between camera states (in your case locations)
For Triggers, that's how triggers work. You have to completely enter and completely exit the trigger area to trigger. You will want conditions on the triggers, so it knows what has priority. If your are inside two triggers, where one trigger sets a name to joe and one trigger sets a name to tom, it will keep overwriting itself.

Oh nice i'll play with the smoothing setting.
heh yea i am aware of how triggers work although there should be something that at least detects what trigger you are in and an OnTriggerStay instead of OnTriggerEnter, so the issue still persists v_v

Alright so tinkering with the smoothing settings on the camera, if i change it to 0, then the cameras no longer switch or work properly so i guess that's not a good fix. Any other thoughts?

Alright so i figured it out, what i did was i went into the camera state and set the smooth follow to 100, this makes sure it's set to this value everywhere, now the cameras snap instead of lerp ^_^
Definitely kind of odd though as in the demo scene there value is 10 and it snaps just fine, duplicating the setup there in the new scene doesn't work the same :P
Anyways, works now, thanks for the tip! Also was able to fix the camera switch issue by changing the trigger shape and placement, giving a larger gap in between trigger points. Seems to switch now no matter if i turn on the spot and return or not ^_^
Whoo!
