Hi, so in state there is proper tag..when action is triggered if i press move left the character is rotating...so it receive input from user and rotating the character which looks weird. Any thoughts on how to ditch input while custom action is in progress is much appreciated

You need to add the tag "CustomAction" to your animation state

Hey, i've got exactly the same problem here... While triggering a generic animation, if I move, i'll go into the turn on spot direction, which is messing the generic animation...

Ok, so unlike ejln, I'm using turn on spot direction. Here what it does :

Tharindu, :D ... didnt remember that at all. Thanks man! No worries! You might want to use the set lock melee and shooter input methods also because you'll still be able to punch through an action. But I still remember as if there was an elegant solution to this than enabling disabling. Perhaps there instead of CustomAction tag for the animation on the animator, try LockMovement ?
