hie guys, okay i fell pretty dumb asking this but i"ve given up. all this time i hadnt used a pistol in my game but then i decided to add one and since 6 am i have been tweaking the left hand ik and the aiming seems okay but when in idle the arm just looks awkwardly stretched out.(see image) i dont know maybe im doing something wrong. i watched the tech demos and follow them but it still looks off in the idle state.

Depending on the model, the animation will not look great... and that's due to the animation itself. Since it's a keypose, you can easily create one by your self and replace the default with your model to fit more precisely.
The good news is that we updated all the shooter poses with new animations and keyposes, it will be available very soon on the next update ;)

yeah that's a very unfortunate affect on the hand mesh there, did the model come with any other animations that could help? it is a bit strange because the hand mesh should not stretch like that unless the bone weight was messed up during the model making process. Try the new animations and if it doesn't work I might look further and see if we can solve it for your project.
