I'm trying to start the strafe ability with a book instead of pressing the button key. Ive tried modifying the input script..
What this does is that it just keeps turning the isStrafing animator bool on and off.

We already have a bool to do that, is the "lockInStrafe" so you can use that

How do I make that bool public so I can access it?
I tried using Playmaker to set only strafe after my character enters a trigger and only free when character exits. However it never changes back only free.

Well just go to the variable and change it for public, I think this one is set to internal bool

It's in the thirdpersonmotor script so making it public doesn't mean much as its not on a component in the scene.

It will appear in the ThidPersonController inspector, since it heritage from the animator/motor
