Hey folks,
I am trying to implement a knockback effect on the character controller upon collision with a projectile. However, the knockback effect tutorials suggest that on a rigidbody I should implement AddForce, although it is not working as I believe it is interfering with the character controller.
I am not quite sure where to put isHit check for example so I can disable the character controller updates for the time while the player is under knockback effect.
Any ideas friends?

You could probably use an animation for that. I'm sure there's a free one on www.mixamo.com/#/Invector has a hit reaction id. If you make your own reation id you could cause a knockback animation to occur
