Just working on grappling hook system in the last 2 days. This was inspired by Batman Arkham Knight.
Still not optimized and need some work with struttering camera ,hook types like ratcheting or loose and gliding effect.
Let me know if You need this add-on so I can makes some tutorial and downloadable links once it completed (about next month).

Each HookPoint contains landingTarget which is the refference for the character and hookPointTarget for the rope endPoint target. Edit : the rope using line renderer and curves to create the grapple effect. |

let's say this element of the gameplay cannot be climbed to some places, but in the quest I found a hook or bought from an NPC and only then I can get over

definitely i want try this addon in my game but it's better to make it so that if you had an object in your hands only then you can use the hook let's say this element of the gameplay cannot be climbed to some places, but in the quest I found a hook or bought from an NPC and only then I can get over Sure, the hook script is attached to an object inside the player's hand/equipPoint, so You can turn this one as a weapon with inventory. |

any news on the download link?
i made a grapple gun for unity its open source c#, if you want to use it to do something special with it.
it integrates with invector lite free controller. My next step is putting in a proper rope rather than a line renderer if anyone can help that would be cool. I think it will be something to do with splines.
