I have all my weapons added for holstering and have the DRAW/HIDE SHOOTER MELEE script on my character. The only issue I'm having is the weapon does visibly get holstered but the real state doesn't change. I have a video to explain.
My character CANNOT climb when it is holding a weapon. Simple mod I made. Looking at the video, the character holsters the rifle by pressing 'H'. The weapon appears to be holstered but in the lower left corner you'll notice the ammo icon remains. I cannot climb the wall. When the weapon is drawn, I hide the weapon this time using an empty weapon slot, by pushing '3'. Now the ammo icon is no longer shown and I am able to climb. It appears that when simply holstering, some of the state variables have not been reset.
Any help would be great.

You could simply call the 'ForceHideWeapons' method from the DrawHideWeapons using the OnEnterClimb event instead, the weapon will go directly to your holder

Yes, I've tried this as well. And it works but it still does not Unequip the weapon in the ItemManager. The communication is working when another blank item in a slot is selected but when Hiding a weapon, it does not release it back to the ItemManager.

Why would you want to unequip the weapon when climbing? in terms of gameplay it will be a pain having to equip the weapon everytime you climb.... but anyways, you can check the Inventory Demo scene, it contains examples to unequip the current weapon

If I don't unequip the weapon, it will pass in & out of the wall as I climb. I'll look at the Inventory Demo again.
