I have tried everything I can think of to cure this. The AI seems to get stuck and rotates on way points, it isn't always the same way point and it doesn't happen all the time, it appears randomly for no apparent reason. This is making it real difficult for me to pin down the cause. Four way points all same settings: I increased the rigid body radius and this seemed to help a little bit at first but still occurring. Checked player collision capsule Checked player movement and step settings Changed Agent 'Update Path Quality' to high and highest. I have tried increasing/decreasing the way point radius Tried using 'rotate to' on/off Tried raising/lowering way points a fraction Tried various navmesh bakes Searched for any similar problems around here and found nothing.
Sometimes it gets stuck and goes into the spin right away and sometimes it can take 3/4 minutes. but eventually it will do this whatever. I'm probably missing something real simple and it is driving me nuts. any ideas?

I'm assuming you're using the FSM AI, correct? Did you try increasing a little bit the Stoping Distance?

Yes! Thank you, increased to 0.5 and it seems fixed now I am using the FSM AI is that a factor or was this due to such a large character?. I knew it would be a simple fix, just couldn't pin it down:)

It could be because of your character size I believe, but nothing that some minor adjustments in the inspector can solve it ;)
