I would like to have it so that when you pick up a weapon that is a duplicate of a weapon that is already in your inventory you do not get a second weapon of the same type but you do get the ammo from that pickup added to the ammo count of the weapon that you already have.
Is there an easy way to set this up?

There is no option for that out of the box, but this issue was already present it to us and I will try to think of something since we're working on the ItemManager right now

I have not explored shooter template that much, coz im working on the melee..but if I were to set this is up..i'd like to create a custom script that check if the pick up weapon exists in my inventory (vItemManager.Contain(int id), if it exists and has ammo (check ammo), get the ammo amount and add to existing ammo of that same weapon in my inventory..then ignore the weapon pick up (just return) ..might not be the best solution..but I guess u get the idea
